No Geographical Barriers to Television Broadcasting in Europe

The New York Times reports that the European Court of Justice, the European Union’s top court, ruled that viewers have the right to buy pay-per-view television from rival providers in other countries. The ruling stems from a case in which a pub owner refused to pay UK broadcaster fees in order to show soccer matches in her bar, thus opting to order from networks in other countries.
