Phelps Photos Leaked

At least this time he’s not doing anything illegal – just possibly against IOC policy.  Photos for a Louis Vuitton ad campaign taken by Annie Leibovitz were leaked last week.  This could be a problem for Phelps as the IOC has a rule against athlete promotion of non-Olympic sponsors from July 18th to August 15th. Although the ad campaign was supposed to run starting on August 16th, their early release could result in a number of consequences, from fines to stripping of medals.

No word yet on whether Phelps will, in fact, be in deep water.
