The Battle For “La Dolce Vita”

The Battle For “La Dolce Vita”

A trial-date has been set to determine whether Paramount Pictures holds the copyright to the classic Italian film, “La Dolce Vita.”  On February 12, International Media Films will go before a New York court in an attempt to strip Paramount of its ownership of the Federico Fellini film.  IMF plans to challenge the authenticity of an agreement that Paramount is relying on to prove its copyright ownership. The chain of custody is complex (see article for a detailed breakdown) and thus the trial is sure to produce some interesting findings; film buffs will undoubtedly want to keep an eye on this one.
